1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL review from North America
"I always wanted a Corvette, but not any more"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump started slow leak at about 110,000 miles, did not necessarily need replacing but replaced it anyway. Unfortunately mechanic had no clue how to properly tighten the timing belts back up and used tension adjustment to tighten it when he should have pulled it to the correct setting then set the tension. Caused the belt to slip; once I realized they did not know what they were doing, I changed technicians and have been pleased ever since.
General comments?
Others talk about cost to maintain. I have found everything I need on e-bay or through autopartswarehouse.com. Everything is high quality and inexpensive.
It's an easy car to work on, and as someone else noted, it is a little slow from the lights, but is a rocket on the highway.
I don't care how built they have their little muffler mini rocket cars with big wings, they have no chance of keeping up with this.
Awesome cornering and a very controllable drifter.
