1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT Twin Turbo review from Australia and New Zealand
"A 1986 Supra on steroids"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch - but that's understandable with the stresses it has to put up with.
Computer - car suddenly would not start. Diagnosed as having very low rail voltage. New computer purchased.
A whole variety of electrical problems.
Suspension knocks.
General comments?
Mitsubishi threw this car together with the intention of including every available gizmo at the time. The result is obesity.
It's fast and sure-footed in a straight line which makes it a good grand tourer.
Don't expect miracles in the flickability department - keep it on the motorway and leave the twisties to the WRX and EVO boys.
The dash and associated switch-gear is appalling quality for a car of this class. Tacky!
Moonshot gear ratios make you think you could be driving a 1.6 until the boost makes it's presence felt.
