2004 Mitsubishi Diamante VR-X TL review from Australia and New Zealand
"Under estimated performance sedan for the family"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- So far I have had no mechanical issues with this car.
General comments?
The VR-X is a stable and confident ride, with a muscular engine producing smooth seamless driving.
It produces 163KW of power, which is put to the front wheels brilliantly. For a 2WD family inspired sedan, the VR-X has and does everything a well built sports car should.
Acceleration is rapid, and the 5 speed tiptronic transmission is faultless. The VR-X plays with the big boys and compares very well. Weighing 200KG's lighter then the BA Falcon & 100KG's lighter than the Commodore SV6, the VR-X more than makes up for its lower power rating.
The new face lift is admired by many, but has received its fair share of criticism as well. Inside the cabin Mitsubishi has gone with the timeless look, which is often referred to as dated, but it's simply refined.
Overall the VR-X is a powerful, comfortable and incredibly safe vehicle.
