2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder review from North America
"Meh, it's okay I guess"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1450 miles? If something went wrong, I'd be very angry.
General comments?
I have mixed feelings about this car. Some things are great, and others, not so great.
The Rockford Fosgate system rocks! Nice woofer in the backseat. Yeah, it's in the backseat. It doubles up as a massage chair when it's turned up. The backseats though are pretty useless. My 5 year old boy can sit there, but I wouldn't fit back there at all. I don't know what adult can.
Fuel consumption is terrible. If I peak 20 MPG, I'm very happy. Low teens seems like the norm for me. I blame the enormous V6 that this thing has in it.
263 hp is NOT ENOUGH for this 4000 lb beast. Why so heavy? Why?
The exhaust system is a work of art. So pretty, ahh... You'll have to listen to one.
Well, $35K? I don't think it was worth it, but I'd definitely look at another Mitsubishi next time I shop. The build quality of this car is superb and very nicely finished. I just hope I grow to like this thing a little more over the next while.
