My transmission just whent out yesterday. I had problems with one of the arms and the brakes.
I really just started to believe that the galant was a good deal till my transmission went out yesterday. Know I don't think there worth it because this is still a new car and the transmission all ready went out. The whole reason I bought a newer car was so I would have problems like this for a while.
I have a '95 gallant and I had the same problem with the transmission. Get rid of it. The transmission problem happened twice to me. An added problem is that the Mitsubishi company has a customer service department that is not customer friendly. This adds insult to injury. By the way they also had a recall on the gas tank and the ball joints on this model. Thank you Mitsubishi...
I also have one. Everytime I shift into a gear (automatic), the engine tilts and that's not all its not smooth. My tansmission is having hard knocks when it shifts and the overdrive acts kind of funny. It tends to lag a little like it doesn't kick in sometimes. Sometimes the transmission shift up and down a lot. Am I starting to develop the same problem?
