"A high performance family car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

From the second week of owning this vehicle, I noticed that when I put it in gear it would lurch forward. The car therefore went back and forwards to the dealer for the first three weeks of my ownership to resolve this problem. They didn't fix it and said that it was just to be expected for a car of this mileage. A bit disappointing!

General comments?

Am very happy with this car. Purchased as a family car, but keen to have the extra performance this car brings. Am not entirely sure of the engine output, but believe it is somewhere around the 200hp mark. (I would love to know exactly?).

Corners and handles very well. The 2 turbos, 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel stair, 4 wheel disc brakes, ABS and traction control are a great combination in a car. I particularly like that you can turn off the traction control so the power doesn't cut out to the wheels if you're cornering excessively. A feature I hear the new models no longer have.

I have a 1992 Galant 5 speed manual, with a few upgrades, intercooler, boost controller, exhaust. It's quick and puts you back in the seat. As I recall these cars are about 250-260hp and 380Nm of torque. So they're no push overs. I did 13.4 on the 1/4mile. A guy in NZ has the record of 12.6 with simple mods.
