1994 Mitsubishi Galant LS review from North America

Timing belt replaced at 80,000 miles. This was not a big deal and was caught before it busted while on the road.

Water pump has been replaced twice.

Air conditioning has frequent problems after about 3 years of owning.

Power windows on both front driver's side and passenger side are losing momentum. In winter, the window motor is so weak, windows will not even roll up, so we don't ever roll them down in cold weather.

The radio antenna quick going up and down after 70,000 miles. Radio still works however, just loses stations fast.

Loud clicking noises come from under the passenger side airbag. Has been checked out and problem not resolved.

No major mechanical problems at all. We have never had any transmission or engine problems.

This is the most reliable, dependable vehicle we have ever owned. We have had this car since it was brand new in 1994 and it is still going strong!

We are very surprised that the Montero has not had good ratings because we were thinking of trading this one (1994 Galant LS) for a Montero, but maybe we'll just stick to the new Galants.

The car is roomy and comfortable and although is is over ten years old, it still has a sporty, classy look to it!

I love my Galant LS and plan on keeping it for another few years. There is no doubt in my mind that it is up for the challenge!
