Nothing.
Excellent all round car.
Very reliable.
Very comfortable.
Excellent handling, both cornering and at speed. This car has been thrashed, it's towed trailers weighing a ton, driven hard through the rev range, on gravel roads chasing rallys, and cost me a few dollars in speeding tickets, but it still keeps going, and feels and handles like new.
I noticed that my Lancer GLXi 95 power windows motor are not welded strong enough. I just brought it to a car repair shop and we saw that the motor and cable had dislocated.
With regards to performance, it's good!
I have my lancer glxi about 3 years and I am completely hooked on it. I put 15" rims on it and it hugs the road. I find the performance brill for a 1600cc and have done 128mph in it, which is pretty impressive.
You're all fooling yourselves.. I owned a Lancer before buying a gen-4 Prelude. I must say, it was the worst handling car I have ever driven. It would under steer uncontrollably in the rain even with Falken 205 16's. I have yet to find the Prelude to do so. I didn't think it was possible for a FWD to overseer before the front wheels let go, until now. Above that the amount of plastic in the cabin is somewhat a resemblance of a Korean heap that something that came from a Mitsubishi factory. Then there's the engine. Don't get me started.. That thing couldn't beat a civic if its life depended on it. Truly a disappointment.
HEHEHE...
Yes I would have to agree with the previous comments made by the Honda Prelude owner. I have also owned a 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer, but it was a 1995 CE Coupe. The worst car I have ever encountered, we will definately never own another mitsubishi again, its breaks failed twice in wet weather leading to two major accidents almost costing my life and severely injuring my friend. the quality was dismal, the interior plastics are so cut price that even a daewoo espero of the same era would be a better choice. No quality, no safety features, no performance, no equipement levels (even lacking the basic tachometer). Don't go there! it isn't worth it, instead, buy a Honda Civic sedan thts what I own now and it has given me excellent comfort reliability features and performance, it even handles better then the tinny old Lancer!
I agree. Driving my Lancer was the most un-enjoyable 6 months behind the wheel I have ever had. Fair enough it was the 1.5L carby engine, but my God the coarseness, the lack of refinement!
The best way to describe 110KPH on the freeway is like being trapped inside a tin can lined with nasty cheap plastic that has been stuffed with ball bearings and rolled down a gravel hill.
The tyre, wind, road & engine noise made a normal conversation almost impossible even with the radio turned off and the lack of torque meant you were forced to wring the things neck just to avoid being overtaken by Grandma driving her automatic Toyota Corona!
And to think they are still fetching around 6 grand second hand just shows how the popular choice can also be the dumbest.
Hey folks, your satisfaction & car performance is lie on how your keep your car. If you treat your car like a baby, it would give you power & satisfaction regardless of what make & model.
No way dude... my car is the best because its my first car and I love it actually its 7Years Old a 3rd hand car... and I love its speed specially if the aircon is turn off I can run up to 160 kilometers = 99.4193908 miles hehehe damn, its the best car ever I don't care if you don't like this car for me its the best mwahtherfuckers.
PPPLLEEAASSEEE children if you really want class go for the old datto 1600...nothing beats the handling of a full rally suspension on one of those things. rear wheel drive rules...and power you can play with when a nice set of dellortos are attached...
