1995 Mitsubishi Magna TS basic/ GLX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good car, but get it serviced! and make sure it had it's 100000 service!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Valve stem seals went at 160,000K like clockwork, this is apparently quite normal.
I have had to replace the Cat at 170000.
I had the carby rebuilt twice at 170000, not worth getting rebuilt they go again quickly less than 1000k for me, I had the problem fixed by getting one from the wreckers it worked straight away.
I had to get the automatic replaced at 165000, I DO NOT think that this was a fault of the auto as I had it serviced 1 Week before it died and had not previous issues, needless to say I will not be going back there.
Radiator hose and power steering elt snapped at 120,000 once again NOT CAR's fault, I later found out the car's last service was at 92,000 and it did not have a 100,000 service in which both of these would have been replaced.
General comments?
Apart from the above it has been a good car. The car is not fast, but comfortable and has a cruise feel to it.
Well made, but make sure you get one that has been looked after... make sure you see proof of the 100,000 service!!!
I would buy another Magna.
