Fender flares starting to come unglued, dealership re-glued. That's all so far.
V8 could use more power behind it, of course it's the same V8 they put in the non-Hemi Dodge Rams. Gas mileage is WAY below the EPA ratings, my stepdad owns a Dakota with same engine (Dakota is a rebadged Raider, both are built by Dodge) and he gets almost 20 mpg hwy, he says it'll get better when I get a few thousand miles on it, right now I'm getting about 13-14 all around.
The Dakota is not a re-badged Raider; it's the other way around.
The V8 needs more power and only gets 13-14 mpg? No wonder they dropped it after 2006. The Raider itself may not be around much longer -- has been selling very poorly.
Mitsubishi and Dodge announced today that the Raider pickup will be discontinued after this year. No big surprise there, considering they sold less than 3,000 Raiders total last year.
If you want a truck that almost no one else has, now at a bargain price (once the word gets out that Raider is going away), here is your opportunity. Mitsubishi has no plans to replace it with another pickup at this point.
