1983 Mitsubishi Scorpion GL Coupe from Australia and New Zealand - Comments

"A real street sleeper, Beast of a first car!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Bad radiator casting which requires constant sealing.

Otherwise a perfect low maintainence car which only requires regular and essential attention.

General comments?

Quite fuel efficient when driven carefully.

Very quick when driven hard.

Eats carburettored commodores like weetbix.

Stops on a dime because of chunky four wheel disk brakes all round.

Handles a bit soft on standard suspension, but apsolutely handles like it is on rails when lowered and riding on stiffer suspension.

Loves Castrol Magnatec oil which makes it run like a new car, never smokes and starts first time every time

I agree mate, my old VK cost me $1200 hasn't given any trouble.

Oh yes it also leaves Scorpions in a cloud of dust.

He's right keep dreaming mate.

I'm willing to bet that the scorp you "raced" has carby problems. the mikuni on the astrons is the worst carby ever made.

There's simply no other way a stock 202ci VK could have beaten a scorpion over the 1/4 mile!

Think I'm dreaming?

Like I said...I'm willing to bet. ;)
