2004 Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin GDI review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
WE HAVE A GREAT PROBLEM and WOULD LIKE ADVICE PLEASE...
My wife bought a Mitsubishi Pinin in 2004 and within a year the gearbox had to be changed. In Sept 2005 the front exhaust pipe blew and it had to be replaced under warranty. However, it is now Feb 2008 and 7 exhausts and a new engine mount later, there is still a problem.
After contacting the Managing Director of Mitsubishi UK (details available if people are having same problems) it was collected and we were given a hire car for a month while they diagnosed the fault... they have come back to say that the exhaust system was mis-aligned and the catalytic converter was an inch lower than it should be, and that put pressure on the front pipe. They have not admitted that there is a problem and haven't offered any explanation as to why we have had to wait 15 months for this explanation.
If it was that simple then why didn't the garage pick it up either of the last 6 times?
Has this been a problem for anybody else? Any advice would be welcome... Thank you.
General comments?
Nothing but problems - terrible customer service - wouldn't have another Pinin.
