2001 Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin GDI Equipe review from UK and Ireland
"Wicked for its size"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Things that went wrong..
Well I have this car little under a year, and apart from the day to day things that go wrong on 8 year old cars, the central locking on the drivers door has a mind of its own; sometimes it unlocks the car, and sometimes it does not.
All it needed for its MOT was brake pipes.
General comments?
Well what can I say, it has enough power for a truck this size. It goes anywhere, and I mean anywhere.
I paid just over £1300 for my Pinin on a Y plate. What a bargain, best 4x4 I have had.
Fuel tank is a lot on the small size; need to fill up ever 300 or so miles, but it works out the same as my old Merc did in the end.
It has all the toys for such a cheap truck, air con, electric windows and mirrors, full range box with a proper diff lock, unlike some trucks of this price range. Dealers need a kick up the backside with their service.
I use my Pinin ever day for work and pleasure, and cannot think of a bad thing about it. My missus even likes it, what more can I say (she drives a Ford)
