1993 Mitsubishi Space Wagon GLXi review from Spain
"Reliable, well equipped, car-like 7 seater"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery died (normal, new one has done 3 years now).
Electric window runner wore out (did a bodge repair, works fine).
Clutch started slipping (normal with the kms).
Cam-belt end, oil seals wore out (normal for the kms).
Air con stopped working (expected after 16 years).
Syncro mesh not working perfect anymore.
General comments?
Plenty of power (133 bhp) to go and stop (ABS and discs all round).
Very comfy to drive, great visibility.
Well equipped for a 1993 car.
Tyre wear much heavier on front, but to be expected.
Fantastic reliability.
Comfy for 6 people, a squeeze with 7!
Genuine parts a little pricey.
Looks a bit like a grandads car.
Wonder how many euroncap stars it would get...
Not a Ferrari, and doesn't handle as well as you´d like with 133bhp available, but when I look at the experiences people have had with cars 15 years younger, and more expensive, this one has been a god-send!!!
