1991 Nissan 200SX Executive from UK and Ireland - Comments

"A supercar for less than a supermini"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Vibration on the over-run, especially in 5th (below 70mph) but in 3rd too. Other gears are fine. Any idea's?

Turbo replaced just before I bought it.

Pivot pin in the clutch housing broke on the track.

Rusted through on the rear sill due to trapping water from the inside. The rest of the body is perfect.

General comments?

Drinks fuel around town (19mpg). OK on a run (28mpg).

Quick and a lot of fun.

Brakes fade too quickly (mine has the smaller front discs).

Bridgestone Potenza's suit it very well, making the backend more predictable.

Tempted to chip it. Interested from anyone who has done this, especially with the effect on performance/economy.

More fun than the newer 200SX.

Chipped mine, VERY noticeable effect on speed/acceleration, no effect on economy. Weird thing - when I took the chip off pre-trade in, most of the extra speed remained!
