1990 Nissan 200SX 1.8 review from UK and Ireland

Nothing yet. Having owned one of these previously I'm not expecting much to go wrong. Fortunately the big ends bearings/shells have already been replaced on this one as they tend to wear out from about 80k miles. This WILL happen to a 200sx regardless of servicing. It's their only major fault.

Only other things I'm expecting are a bit of rust appearing and to replace a fuel/brake pipe or 2. Not much for a 13 year old car.

Compared to my old impreza (which constantly required attention) these cars are (excuse the overly used phrase) BULLETPROOF!!

My car had been modified by the previous owner so performance is a far cry from standard. These cars are easy and cheap to modify to more acceptable power outputs. My own having recently been dyno'd at 265hp (220bhp at the wheels). It is VERY fast. My previous WRX impreza was a slouch by comparison.

Handling wise, they have plenty of grip and a solid, sporty feel with excellent feedback through the wheel and seats (though the seats aren't really supportive enough). It's only let down by it's rather sketchy tail out antics on wet roads. This car requires a lot of respect and driving quickly in the rain should be approached with caution.
