1988 Nissan 200SX SE Hatchback review from North America
"A good reliable car with the heart of a racecar"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My 02 sensor went bad. This caused a lot of money to be spent finding the problem. Check computer if you have a problem!!
Interior started to crack like in all 200sx's easy fix get new vinyl.
Exhaust rusted completly.
Headlights never went down.
General comments?
well, I love this car. From the very first time I drove it. I was very very hard on this car. Always floored it went around curves 45-85 miles per hour. She can handle curves like a dream. I would take her off-road, take her on some of the meanest back roads you have ever seen. I would regularly maintain everything. She is pretty quick I got her up to 126 or 127 mph max. The acceleration wasn't too good although I belive this is due because it is an automatic. Yes I let my friends drive it. They constantly neutral dropped this thing and the transmission doesn't slip to this day.
I have to get rid of the car. Some woman ran into me and tore the whole side back panel up pretty bad. I can see the dent inside the hatch. I wanted to keep the car. My dad says I can't. So if you have one of these cars you are very lucky. I have heard and seen that it is easy and cheap to modify. If u are into that sort of thing go buy the 1.8 Liter Turbo version. It is very cheap and easy to modify. Cya my old friend 200sx(ol'reliable).
