1995 Nissan 240SX SE review from North America
"Freaking amazing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just bought the car and it was in really bad shape. Had to replace all 4 brake rotors and new pads; cost $600.
Other than that, the check engine light is on for no reason and the steering column is messed up. All of this is due to the prior owner not properly maintaining the car.
Also the tach no longer works, which is weird because everything else does when going in a straight line. The steering wheel points to the right, no pull though, so I have no clue what's up with that.
General comments?
My first car was a 1991 Nissan 240SX SE; absolutely loved it, but at around 200,000 miles it quit on me, so I sold it and bought a 2003 Ford Mustang; worst mistake ever.
Anyway, back to the good stuff; drove the car 140 miles the first day. It drove like it was brand new, excluding the brakes. Get up and go is awesome in this car, absolutely love it. The gas mileage is good, gas however is not considering you have to put the good stuff in it (93 octane).
The only bad thing about these cars is things break all at once, and they become expensive fast.
