1989 Nissan 240SX SX review from North America
"Not a true sports car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overall not too many things, just the usual:
Shocks.
Brakes.
Fuel pump.
Extreme rust under car.
Left door does not open anymore.
A/C stopped working last year.
Manifolds are all cracked.
Exhaust is leaking.
Brakes are leaking.
P/S leaking.
General comments?
This was a decently built car and I enjoyed it very much. After reading the many reviews here I cannot believe
the kids here think this is a fast car!
Sure it looks fast, but its only looks.
Heck my dads 1991 Buick Lesabre is much faster and is a family car with 4 doors.
However it has 170hp and 220 lb ft of torque, while the 240 has only 140 horsepower, so I wouldn`t be calling this a sports car, it's a sporty car that's all so don`t be going out looking for races, you may, but you will lose most of them, unless you race against 4 cyl. sunflowers and cavaliers, that's about all you`d be able to beat.
