1989 Nissan 240SX SE review from North America
"A bang for your buck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission is going out as I speak, it is slipping a great deal, mostly because I power shifted it.
The exhaust that was on the car when I bought it was terrible, but an aftermarket exhaust made it a great deal better.
Head Gasket is leaking oil, yet to be fixed.
Right rear A-frame and lower control arm somehow got bent, but dosen't seem to be causing any problems, besides abnormal tire wear.
General comments?
This car has the best handling I've ever seen. It responds quickly, and hugs turns, as if it were glued to the road.
The cabin couldn't be better. The radio and pocket underneath are in perfect position. The overall look of the cabin is amazing.
This car is a force to be reckoned with, if it came stock with a turbocharger, it would be unstoppable. Or if an aftermarket one was made.
This car never quits, even with the transmission slipping, it still runs strong enough to beat those little Civics, Talons, and Eclipses. Thank you Nissan for providing me with such a great high school car.
