1989 Nissan 240SX SE review from North America
"Endless possiblities in a not too expensive car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first got the car the engine was horribly wasted. It was $1000 for the motor, and took a couple days.
Alternator stopped charging. $270 list, but I got it for $120 and did it my self.
Sway bar bushings and links at all four corners need replaced.
Valve cover gasket went recently. $20 and a half hour to fix it.
Drivers front speaker blew. Still haven't fixed it.
Hard shift into second at certain RPMs. Will rebuild transmission hopefully.
Hatch tumbler frozen and drivers door tumbler frozen.
Rust all over the car.
Oil pan leaks like a sieve.
Needs front pads and rotors.
General comments?
Hey my car wasn't taken care of before I got my car, but that's OK. There are just a few more things I have to do before its in great conditiont again.
All I have to say about the 240 is:
Rear Wwheel Drive (awesome engine choices for swaps)
4 wheel disk brakes
huge engine bay.
PLANS.
I want to drop an RB26DETT with a conversion to Rear wheel Drive instead of Aall Wheel Drive
300zx Z32 brakes, suspension, and differential
upgraded suspension (strut bars, bigger sway bars, lowering kit of some kind etc)
