"The best car for the money, if you can find a good one!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The car is great! The faults like leeking T-tops are negligable.

General comments?

More fun than my IROC Camaro. I put a custom made K&N intake, and a racing fuel rail. I also "modified" my exhaust by "cleaning out" my cat so it flows great. This motor is the best Z motor made. I have owned a 82 280zx and a 85 300zx. The 83 turbo T-Top is the best!

I am also very interested in your fuel rail. I own an '83 non-turbo, and I'm looking to bolster the performance. Would you consider sharing some information? Namely, I'd love to know where you acquired your rail. My e-mail is SMALLEYMAZ@COMCAST.NET. Many thanks!!!

Hi there. I own a nissan 280zx 1981 T-Top. Beautiful car. I'm in the process of refurbishing my car and would welcome infomation about how to sup up my engine. I'm female and do not want my mechanic to tell me things I'm not familiar with. I really like my car FAST. Please contact me at izone@telkomsa.net. THANKS NISSAN GUYS - RAY.

I've owned two 280ZX's. One was a two seat non-turbo 1982 model that had clearly been drive hard, but still had plenty of life left in it. The other was an 83 four seater which was clearly much faster. This was due in part to the fact that it was a creampuff that had been well cared for, and because Nissan changed the gearing in the four seat model to compensate for the extra weight. What they ended up doing was creating a faster model. I'm now on the lookout for a four seater turbo this time around.

By the way, Victoria British is the name of a 280z parts supplier that can probably supply you guys with whatever you need.
