At about 175,000 I had a relay switch go bad, it fired two starters...but after replaced has worked fine.
At about same miles, it started to run hot so I replaced the radiator, and though not needed I replaced the water pump, thermostat and some hoses. Now water temp is where it should be and even on a 90+ degree day running at 80 MPH you can't get it to budge.
I have run synthetic 5-50W oil in it since day one so that may have helped.
Other than standard repairs like break replacements etc... this truck has been a real money saver. The strange thing is, now that I am looking at the 250,000 mile stone, I have never heard form anyone else that has gotten more mile out of a 1993 Model year 2.4L Nissan truck... is mine gonna die on the way home from work today? If it does it will still be in my memory as the most reliable car that I have ever owned.
What is the location of the relay you changed? I have the exact problem with a 1993 Nissan pickup, and think I have the same starter problem.
