1986 Nissan 300ZX GL review from North America
"Best thing on wheels"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oil sending unit keeps going bad starts out great when cold, then drops as engine heats up.
Replaced engine at 10100 because someone borrowed it while I was out of the country. She did not pull over when the temp light came on, blew the small hose on the front of the engine.
Replaced with a 3.0 from a Pathfinder from Japan total cost for job was $2800. She paid $2300 of it.
Replace Master cylinder and brakes and rotors at 90000.
General comments?
This is the most reliable car I have ever owned.
It is fast I have had it up to 130 a few times, and sold as a rock at those speeds.
Love the ride and the seats are wonderful.
