1988 Nissan 720 Pickup Aussie 4X4 review from Australia and New Zealand
"I will stay with the 720 as the best 4X4 I could ever get amongst an ocean of Toyota"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine Glow-plug system is defective.
5-Speed Floor shift / The gearbox selectors are mushy even after rebuild.
Windscreen seal and side-window rubbers need constant attention.
General comments?
I have become very attached to the 720 series of light utilities.
Very reliable and conventional, so they can be repaired beside the road.
Replacing the standard seats with Datsun sports seats was a good move.
Extra-long, wheelbase and after market canopy gives safe storage.
