2000 Nissan Altima GXE review from North America

Basic wear and tear... I have owned it from the start and have had very little upkeep in cost.

Recently I have to replace the motor in the automatic door, as the window will no longer go up.

I have had the body start to decline because of the Maine weather, thus had some welding to the body done..

A gasket blew this year, and I will fault myself on this one.. possibly low on oil.

This car I have put approx $1500 into in the last 9 years.. it has been to Florida a couple of times from Maine...

The one time I was stranded.. again this year, was due to the battery terminal having a build up on it..

My car trunk opening did go approximately 3 years ago, and the remote key stopped about 3 years into ownership and I declined to fix this.

This is my 5th Nissan, but the only one I purchased new from the dealer, and I can't say enough great things about it.. cost has been about 30.00 a week to run this car, and that includes the purchase price @ 16,500... would not hesitate to buy another Nissan.. actually I am hesitant to buy anything else. I will continue to drive the Altima until it can go no further.. I have been advised that the body will go before the motor..

Only a 4 cylinder, but has great pickup and go.

Seats are great, comfortable.

I did replace 3 seat belts.. but this was a dog issue and not a Nissan issue!

CD player love, love the various outlets for cell phone charger etc.
