2006 Nissan Altima S review from North America
"A few hiccups can be expected, but no problem"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After owning the car for 5 months, the rear passenger tire blew out. A tow truck took me to a tire shop in a small town. It was there I learned that the date in the serial number showed the tires to be 4 years old. But only the tires on the passenger side of my car were 4 years old. I bought 2 new tires and took the old tires to the dealer, where they apologized and reimbursed me.
Over the last three years, the driver-side brake light went out and the power steering failed. Both were repaired and covered by the warranty.
General comments?
It's a good car to drive. Has decent legroom in the back and has worked well. The only problems I encountered with the car had not cost to me, other than inconvenience. Overall, a pretty good experience for my first new car.
Not really a comment on the car, but Nissan Financial Services are pretty bad. If you want to have a good ownership experience, I would recommend not using them. Finance the car some other way.
