"Maybe it is just a lemon, but I will never buy another Nissan"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rusted under rear window.

Catalytic converter.

Intake manifold gasket.

Air conditioner compressor.

Idler pulley and belts.

Seats are uncomfortable.

General comments?

This car gets terrible mileage for a 4 cylinder.

The seats are very uncomfortable.

I have put over $3000.00 in mechanical repairs, all with less than 58,000 miles.

Replaced catalytic converter and full exhaust.

Replaced intake manifold gasket. Which is common to this car.

Replaced air conditioner compressor.

Replaced idler pulley and belts.

I thought the foreign cars were supposed to be more reliable.. sheesh. That's just another widespread misconception. They cost much more to repair and aren't necessarily built any better then a domestic. My 2000 Chevy Lumina which probably cost a fraction of the purchase price of your Nissan has been rock-solid for all the 80,000 miles I've put on it (had 23k already when I purchased it). Except for the intake gasket which I also had to repair once, its been a somewhat boring but reliable ride. And its a 10-year old Chevy.. just food for thought...
