1997 Nissan Altima GXE review from North America
"A Japanese Masterpiece!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Serpentine belt replaced. Leaks a little oil. Drivers side window is off track. These are the only minor problems I've had in the 5 months of owning this car!
General comments?
I'm very happy with this car, it just goes and goes with virtually no major problems, great reliability. It has sat only 2 days without driving it since I've owned it.
It has ample power and the transmission shifts great.
It's stylish both inside and out, I love the faux rosewood dash trim. It is teal with gray interior.
I like the fact it has a timing chain instead of the belt.
I would certainly buy another Nissan, and I have no doubt this one will make it to 300,000 miles, maybe even more with regular maintenance. I highly recommend!
