1998 Nissan Altima review from North America
"A good car overall, but far from great!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Has occasional electrical glitches. The clock has froze on 2 occasions and sometimes the lights go out for a second or two. Car handles poorly in any winds, slippery conditions or at high speeds. Terrible gear ratios on the manual transmission and very sloppy shifting. Seats very uncomfortable on long trips.
General comments?
This car is well built structurally and mechanically. Very user friendly cabin controls. Not the best mileage for a 4 cylinder. Could use more power. I absolutely hate the transmission and shifter in this car.
