1986 Nissan Bluebird LX review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap reliable sound motor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well its when I bought it, the rear window De-mister does not work, but am getting it sorted.
General comments?
OK the car is a little slow of the start although when inside the cabin the engine growls when you put your foot down a little. Being a 'C' reg it is remarkably agile for its age. The fuel side of things seems OK. I put around £10 of unleaded fuel into it and it gets around 100 miles out of that which is quite good.
Compared with my 306, it's an OK car. I bought this as I am getting married this year and buying a house so my newer car had to go.
She hasn't given me an cause for concern yet.
The only thing I will say is that the auto choke stays on a bit too long for my liking and rev's quite high. Also I think my starter motor is sticking, but it starts never the less.
The power steering makes this car a dream to drive and when you consider I only paid £475 for it, it certainly seems to be worth it, but, then again I have only had it for a little while, but all things considered it's a big thumbs up here.
