"Very nice car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

All six ignition coils need to be replaced. It will cost about $700.

The power steering hose had a leak and needed to be replaced which cost $160.

General comments?

I really like this car, but was surprised that all six ignition coils need replacing. This seems like a very common problem with these cars and I think there should be a recall on these parts. I follow the regular scheduled maintenance of the car and have had no other problems.

Why is everyone paying to have these coils replaced?

You need to demand the dealer do it for free, my wife has a 99 GLE and the coils went bad at 39,000 miles and we told

the dealership we were not happy and if they did not fix it

we would contact the main office to get some results,

the replaced all 6 coils, cleaned the intake and the fuel injectors and we have had no more problems since,

they told us that the coils were covered under a recall warranty or something like that remember you are the customer and and the customer should be their main priority.
