1999 Nissan Maxima review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission shifting into 2nd gear 'lazily'. This was felt at 65000km and repaired under warranty with a program update.
Noisy rear window seal noticed shortly after I had purchased the vehicle. I fixed this with low density foam between the OEM seal and the window frame of the door. I believe the info and details were found on www.maxima.org at the time I was seeking a solution.
Noisy strut at 90000km. Strut mount required replacement. This problem has been acknowledged by Nissan by way of a TSB (technical service bulletin issued to dealers and their service departments).
General comments?
Comfortable seats. Handling is good with a mild amount of sway from the rear noticed mostly when executing high speed banked turns (off-ramps).
The car feels a bit heavy, right until you smash your foot on the gas.
The traction control is a nightmare in almost any situation.
The ABS works well, with acceptable noise levels.
