1999 Nissan Maxima GLE review from North America
"Car gives you a smooth ride, but expensive to run and maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
"Service Engine Soon" light showed up now after 70,000+ miles. I learned from this web site that there could be three reasons for this. To fix this problem I have done the following steps:
1) I made sure that the fuel cap is tighlty closed and there is no air in the gas tank. Drove the car for a while, but it didn't help.
2) I tried to reset the computer system by unplugging the battery's positive & negativ terminals altenatively for about 10 minutes. But all in vain.
3) Now I think I am left with no choice other than to see someone specializes in it. But for sure I won't go to Nissan Dealers as they are going to rip me off to fix it.
General comments?
I need suggestion from someone that what else can I do in this regard to get it fixed.
