2000 Nissan Maxima GLE review from North America
"Would not buy again"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Same repeated Service Engine Lights turning on.
Same problem recommending replacement of ALL SIX ignition coils for over $600.
General comments?
This experience has also turned me off of any future purchases from Nissan. The repeated "Service Engine Soon" Light with the insistence on replacing all six ignition coils at customer expense and then having Customer Service say that mine was an isolated case and that they have no records/complaints of similar problems just makes me averse to having to deal with such a company. As if I would consider it, they're now repeatedly sending me upgrade to current year model offers. That would conveniently stop the problem while making the customer foot the bill on the old and new model I guess. On my last visit, they assured me the SES light would not come on again and it hasn't. My guess? They just disconnected it or did something to that effect.
