2000 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America

At first the car has no problems.

Starter went bad at 57,000 miles and got replaced

Tires needed to be replaced at 77,000 due too bad alignment. Did the alignment and replaced them with high performance tires.

77,000 Transmission shifts rough when car is not wormed and believe me I'm not trying to floor it when car is cold, but when its worm and you try to have a little fun and put the pedal to the metal it shifts violently - replaced the fluids, but is still shifts rough so I'm taking it easy on it. 78,000 Check engine light - OS2 Sensor went bad (A knows problem in those cars) Replaced it. NOW check engine light is back. Connected the scanner to the car computer - 5 different codes are showing. Right now I don’t ever remember which ones I know that at least 2 or 3 OS2

I tried to reset them several times, but are still coming back.

80,000 Replaced brakes and routers

Right now the car has 87,000 and the check light is been on for a year. I already spend too much money into that car. I gave that car to my wife because of the short distance that she has to get to work and me driving long distances can't trust that car.

I know that Nissans are good cars, but this one have lots of issues. I guess my next car is going to be brand new because I don’t know if someone abused that car before me or why the car act the way it acts with the transmission not mentioning the check engine light with 5 different error codes - WOW.
