2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE review from North America
"It's nice, but as my first owned vehicle it's wiped me out financially"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Check engine light on frequently - been to dealership at least 7 times, and started going to other mechanics to try and save on cost - always different codes dealing with O2 sensors and fuel running lean, keep replacing parts only to have the light go on again in a few months, and the dealership then recommends another part. Couldn't pass emissions and paid a lot to the courts for tickets of expired tags. Nissan would repair and still wouldn't pass.
Stereo - doesn't work, and keeps giving error messages.
Electrical - glitchy, the windows sometimes don't work smoothly, front lamps used to burn out every two to three months.
General comments?
It has cost me a lot financially, and seems to need constant maintenance for the check engine light. I am trying to sell it, and even though it looks great and is a handsome well cared for vehicle, no one wants to pay what I still owe the bank; they don't think the car is worth it.
