1995 Nissan Pathfinder SE V-6 Spt Pkg Born 8/95 review from North America

"Great Inexpensive SUV... Buy one and use winter only you'll still be miles ahead!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Hi, I've owned everything from 240 260 280 300 pickups maximas paths I love nissans! (Have an 07 Titan as well, no problems) The 95 pathfinder is no exception, however I need the recall campaign # or TSB that the below individual has noted. Yes, I am plagued with the "rod bearing out?" type of clicking/knocking sound. I do not want to drive this unit too far and perhaps contribute to it's demise... can someone or the below individual who actually had his vehicle serviced at nissan's expense tell me a # for dealer? I'd sure appreciate it! Thanks, Tom tbird71@hughes.net.

The recall on the 1995 Pathfinders was only on units produced during a limited production window. The cause was a part (I think the camshaft, but it's been a long time) that had been designed to accommodate the changeover to 1996 models did not have a required lubrication point that the 95's needed, but 96's did not. So 1995 units would fail prematurely, if the component was not replaced.

If your vehicle is now 10 years old and has not failed, you are likely OK at this point. Having said that, recalls are not time-limited - call your local dealer.

I have a 95 XE pwr/sport with 257,000kms on it -original owner. I suffer from the broken manifold studs, but haven't gotten them repaired.

Fix the spelling and grammar.

General comments?

Poor Gas Mileage.

Great looks (chiseled out of block of granite)

The original SUV.

Knocks like a Ford low on oil!

Rear end leaks like a sieve, but keeps running.

Hey...I'm a Nissan fanatic!
