1992 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4x4 review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- Had to replace fuel pump
- Center console broke
- Think it may have an oil leak now :(
- Rust in the rockers and under rear seats seems to be expanding exponentially (which I would attribute to the wonderful PA winter roads)
- Power steering leak
- Brakes squeak
- Inaccurate speedometer/odometer
- Rear lift gate struts failed
General comments?
It's an excellent running vehicle, and fairly reliable. I haven't had a problem since getting the fuel pump replaced several months ago.
Has an undeniably large turning radius, but really seems to be a bit underpowered as SUVs go, but it seems to be on par with an Explorer of the same year. Haven't really been able to get an accurate mpg calculation because of an overly optimistic speedometer (claims speeds 10-14mph faster than reality).
Would consider buying another one.
