1983 Nissan Patrol 2.8 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

A wolf in sheep's clothing

Faults:

I have installed TRX Bluebird seats for comfort as the original seats were to flat and would make me slide from side to side when in bush.

Also I have installed a 280ZX motor for its ability to rev that little bit more and a bit more punch off the line, as the original was a bit tired and thirsty.

Original head gasket blew at 310000 due to (i was told by mechanic) not changing coolant at regular intervals and it ate away at back water jacket cost to repair was $235.

Rear axle seals were worn and leaking into rear brake drum when I purchased car which meant a whole rear brake rebuild was needed, it was easy and cheap to repair.

General Comments:

Great all rounder for the experienced and learner.

Very difficult to get into trouble.

Original seats are like sitting on a park bench.

A lot of fun on all terrains.

1983 Nissan Patrol dlx 2.8 petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

A bloody Ripper!

Faults:

My 82 L28 engine chewed a bit and and had some oil leaks. Replaced with 85 L28 and goes fine now.

General Stuff like water Pumps and Booster Units.

General Comments:

This wagon is the wagon, Can't beat this year, specially because this is a deluxe wagon and not a shorty, truck never has any problems, rather than lack of speed, yet that is made up for with its ability to run stuff down! As well as the ability to be turned into a H1 Hummer which I plan to do.

On The hole this a fantastic truck and it will probably never die.
