1986 Nissan Patrol 3.25 d from UK and Ireland

Summary:

It will tow your house at 80 mph

Faults:

After a young yuppy chap tried to drive his 1968 VW Karmen under the front, we replaced the broken plastic grille with a bit of "Sitex", there was a bit of overheating in summer time, A "clunk" on the steering was sorted with a bit of grease.

My head gasket will not blow.

The seats smell of dog.

General Comments:

These vehicles will tow anything anywhere.

At 17 years ours has quite a bit of rust around the sills etc especially the bottom of the tailgate, but what do you expect?

I own a 1986 MK Nissan Patrol 2.8 litre petrol. This is the 4th Patrol we have owned. I was a bit disappointed in the 1990 LWB GQ 4.2 litre petrol, but all the rest G60, MQ and now the MK have been a great experience on and off road. We live approx 4t5r miles south of Perth Western Australia, and all I can say is go the mighty old Patrols.
