1996 Nissan Primera SRi review from UK and Ireland
"Hated it at first, now I'm quite attached to it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New clutch fitted at approx 120,000 miles.
O/s driveshaft snapped into two under race pressure.
Rear shocker collapsed at approx 130,00 miles.
Replaced wishbones due to worn bushes.
This car eats anti-rollbar drop-links like no other. i have fitted 3 pairs to the front in 1 year.
Intermitted wipers have a mind of there own and tend to blow fuses regularly.
General comments?
Great sporty family car.
I sold my BMW 325i (E30) 2 door to purchase my primera 2.0ltr sri as it is a 4 door due to a new baby boy.
Great handling for a 4 door saloon.
Comfortable for 4 adults on long journeys.
Lacks power low range, but thumps along when you get above 4,000rpm.
Unbeatable reliability.
