disappointed appalling Toyota Honda Volkswagen garage
Very dissappointed with this car, hoped it would be a nice comfortable cruiser and well insulated from road noise.
Steering is jumpy, i can feel every little bump the car drives over. This is very dissappointing as the car looks big and solid from the outside, but I feel it is very badly put together with cheap plastics on the inside and poorly lined inside the boot.
The road noise is appaling compared to the volkswagen and basically it feels too light and unbalanced on the road.
The rear camera and climate control are beneficial extras, but I am seriously thinking of selling this now and going for a toyota or honda.
One more point, the boot lid is very tinny and there is play in the lock which is on all of the models I tried recently at my local gaarage.
Overall a lovely looking car from the outside, but very bad value for money considering the cheap plastics and lightweight body of the car, I know now why the depreciation is so bad on these, unfortunately I bought with my heart instead of my head and now regret it.
Hi, I'm not trying to be nosy, but why did you buy it if you dislike it so much. (I agree with most of your points anyway)
I know what you are saying, but I did exactley the same thing. I bought a Honda Accord because it had leather/air con/climate/ etc. But I could not get used to it and was almost happy when a truck wrote it off.
The reason this car is disappointing is that it was designed after Nissan was part bought out by Renault in 2000. They have ruined one of the most reliable car companies.
My Primera is a P11 1999 model - this is when all the Primera reviews had yellow faces and satisfied owners. Then Renault gave the Primera the UGLY and UNRELIABLE bug that afflicts so many of their cars from that era (Megane 2, Vel Satis, Avantime etc).
You would be well advised to buy a pre 2001 Nissan or else go to Honda or Toyota, and hope they are not foolish enough to let Renault anywhere near their cars!
