1988 Nissan Pulsar NX review from North America
"Underrated 80s car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Paint is flaking off.
Transmission blew, leaving me stranded.
"EGR" valve needed to be replaced.
Car cannot pass "Aircare" our emissions standards program here in British Columbia.
General comments?
Despite all of the things that have gone wrong, I still think this is a great little used car. Maybe the fact that my father is a mechanic helped a little.
Pros:
gas mileage, modern styling, t-tops, handling (snow/rain), fun car!.. reliable.
Cons:
no back seats, expensive dealer parts, cabin noise, needs more horsepower.
Overall I would recommend this car.. I still love it, however, if I was to do it again I would spend a little more and get the twin cam SE with lower kilometres.
