1985 Nissan Pulsar GL review from Australia and New Zealand
"A Joke on Wheels"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head Gasket Blew.
Battery terminal corroded.
Points constantly slipped out.
Fuel gage never worked.
Hatch struts would only work occationaly making the hatch slam down.
Lock on left hand side of car would never work.
Left hand seat was wobbly.
Rear seatbelt fell off.
Temperature gauge was inacurate.
Radiator cracked, leaking out all the water which caused the engine to blow while I was driving it on the freeway during peak hour.
General comments?
A lot of the problems above were there when I bought the car and I should never have brought it.
When the car was going well it was quick and had a pretty good acceleration . However, when the points were out, the car would shudder when ever I put my foot down.
They are a quick, usually reliable, economical car when they are going and I believe that I possible purchased a dud.
