2007 Nissan Qashqai dCi Visia review from UK and Ireland

Radio was intermittent virtually from the day I bought it, and was replaced after just 6 months and less than 5,000 miles.

Window motor failed during bad weather after just 3 months and 3,000 miles, soaking the interior and leaving it feeling damp for weeks afterwards.

Interior feels rattly, and is a world away from the solidity of the Vauxhall Astra that I owned before.

ABS failed after 6,000 miles and 7 months, causing it to need replacement.

Engine cut out within days of it coming back from having the ABS replaced, and has happened no less than 7 times since then.

Air-conditioning developed a major fault after 9,000 miles and 10 months, and needed replacing.

Rear brake light packed up after 10,000 miles and 11 months.

Clutch was worn out and need replacing after 12,000 miles and 14 months.

CD player ejection button stopped working after 13,000 miles and 15 months.

Whole radio packed up (second time it has happened) after 15,000 miles and 17 months.

Heavy to drive with a sluggish engine.

One problem after another.

Tyres wear very quickly, even for a vehicle of this size.

Is hard to start at times, often taking about 4 or 5 attempts to start.

When the loan on this finishes next year, I'll go back to having Vauxhalls.

It was more fun driving a 1989 Cavalier than it is driving this wash-out.
