2004 Nissan Quest SE review from North America
"Way too many problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
3 Front end Alignments.
2 brake jobs (front and back)
New Tires at 24,000 miles, buying another set tomorrow.
Poor air conditioning. Does not cool near as well as our GMC Envoy.
Steering wheel vibrates, been to the shop 6 times, they can't fix.
Broken CD player. CD won't eject.
Automatic sliding door is slow to open

This is my latest issue. Almost no power as I was coming out of parking lot. I pressed on the gas pedal and I could feel the van is not responding (it was going forward, but with less than 10% of normal power) to the input. The van basically was crawling forward. This also happened yesterday as I was pulling out of a parking space (reverse) It just wouldn't move. I pushed on the gas several time, nothing, just the engine reeving. I even got out and walked around the van wondering what the heck was going on. Finally I just put the pedal to the floor and it jump/popped into gear. Another dreaded visit to the dealer tomorrow.
General comments?
Because of the way the dealer has handled the problems I've had with my Quest I would never ever buy another Nissan.
The only positive is that the cabin really is comfortable. We went cross country and really enjoyed the comfort and room.
I've had more problems with this vehicle than any other in my 37 year driving history. (I've had many)
