1993 Nissan Sentra XE review from North America

Alternator at 186000 miles.

Seats are worn out.

Bad brakes had to be replaced at 200000 miles.

Power steering hose leaked at 187000 miles.

Trunk leaks.

Front bumper cover bolt won't screw back on.

I bought this car in 06 with 185000 miles on it for $750 which I guess is a good deal. the car is still in great condition for its age. aside from the scratches on both bumper suggesting the previous owner could not drive very well aside from that very reliable car.

As I said above a couple thing have gone wrong with the car

at 186000 miles the alternator began to give out causing all the interior and headlights to pulsate on and off. simple fix though my step dad who is a mechanic got me the part for cheap and installed it for me. come to find out the original alternator was still in the car and surprisingly lasted that long.

The power steering hose started to leak when you turned the car hard left or right around 187000 miles. that too was a cheap fix.

Also the car had its original brakes on it too but the were worn out and caused me to wreck the car in traffic. of course those got replaced after the accident.

The car has very durable because the accident when I rear ended the guy in front of me because the brakes were bad causes no damage at all aside from miner scratches on the bumper from the guys license plate.

Although in another accident I got in on the passenger side front corner cracked the bolt holding the bumper cover on and now the bumper bounces around when I hit a hard bump.

The only other problem I have with the car is the rear trunk lid was I guess replaced before I got the car and it isn't properly aligned and it causes the trunk to leak around the tail lights. but nothing a glob or rtv sealant couldn't fix.

But over all this car is very reliable never has it left me on the side of the road.

It has quick acceleration as long as the a/c is off. if the a/c is on it's a bit sluggish.

But other than that, very good car for me.

Especially because I'm only 16 and the car get basically abused by me and my friends. but it holds up great it not falling apart like my Oldsmobile I had before this car.
