2002 Nissan Sentra GXE review from North America
"Not worth even a penny!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At around 20,000 miles, the engine began to idle high. I had brought the car into 2 different dealerships 10 times last year (not exaggerating) for the check engine light coming on. They hooked the computer in the car up to another computer, and the code was an emissions code. I had, at the advisement of the service team, replaced the gas cap, not once, but twice.
2 weeks later, as always, the check engine light had come on again, and once again I brought it to the dealership, and once again it was an emissions code. Now instead of advising me to get a new gas cap, they told me that it is my purge valve. Needless to say, to this day my engine still idles high, and when brought to their attention that this problem still exists, they refused to refund my money for a problem they had not fixed.
Also, today I brought my car in to Walmart to get my oil changed, only to find out that the metal dipstick had broken completely off the plastic handle. So I decided to research both problems, and apparently I am not even close to being the only one having these problems.
I would never advise anyone to buy a Nissan, for their products are not up to standards, and their customer service stinks.
