2002 Nissan Sentra GXE review from North America
"Too many problems to be so small"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clear coat wore off mirrors and the area around the trunk at about 30,000 miles.
Lights in gear shifter box went out at 10,000 miles.
Thermostat went bad, warped radiator cap and busted the hose at 70,000 miles.
Windshield washer fluid tank will not hold fluid; no leak in tank though. Explain that one!
Car began to shudder at start up at 85,000 miles. Went to the dealer and for $80 they said they couldn't find a problem with the car, yet it kept shuddering. They did offer to change my sparkplugs for $210. Yeah, right. My oil change place was able to do the same sparkplugs for $11.
Thermostat went bad, again at 86,000 miles and now the car has decided to not actually crank occasionally. Everything comes on, but the car doesn't start. It's more finicky than a cat.
It's been great so far, but all these problems are ridiculous. No more Nissans!!
